To coordinate and deliver activities and programmes across the six Universities there is a small team headed up by the SETsquared Innovation Director, employed by 魅影直播. The Programme Coordinator role will be part of the SETsquared Programme team reporting to the Investment Programme Manager.

SETsquared runs a large number of high-profile events and training programmes each year including showcases for international business investors and presentations political stakeholders at the House of Commons. The showcases, presentations and training programmes bring together scale-up businesses, investors, corporates as well as senior academic and political audiences from across the South of England with the purpose of helping start-up, scale-up and spin-out businesses to grow and deliver economic impact. The role of Programme Coordinator will provide professional support for this important activity.

You will have:

  • excellent communication skills (written and verbal) including writing briefs
  • excellent interpersonal skills 
  • team working skills – the ability to work effectively with staff and across the partner Universities and business stakeholders
  • the ability to identifying opportunities for innovation.

You will also be able to take a holistic view and work enthusiastically and with creativity to analyse problems and develop innovative and workable solutions.

This is a full-time role, working 36.5 hours per week, for a fixed-term period of 12 months.

Our Research and Impact Services (RIS) department supports the full research lifecycle – from funding applications and project delivery to knowledge exchange, impact, and commercialisation. As the Policy Engagement Lead, you’ll be in a pivotal role at the heart of this work, enabling our research to reach, inform and influence policymakers nationally and internationally. 

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver the University’s strategy for engaging with policy. You will design and oversee programmes of activity that enhance the reach and impact of our research, and support colleagues across the University to engage effectively with policy decision-makers. 

Policy Engagement is an important part of the research lifecycle for researchers across the University. This post offers an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic skilful policy engagement lead to work across all faculties of the University and with colleagues from professional services to embed a culture of understanding and processes for policy support that will upskill researchers’ capabilities and deliver meaningful impact.

Working closely with the Head of Public Affairs, Institute for Policy Research (IPR) and colleagues across the University, you will broker connections between Bath experts and policy professionals, increasing the visibility and influence of our research. You will also ensure the infrastructure to support and evaluate policy engagement is coherent, accessible and tailored to researchers’ needs. 

You will play a key role in developing the infrastructure, support and training that enable effective policy engagement across the research lifecycle—from early planning through to capturing evidence of impact and sharing success stories.

We are looking for someone with: 

  • An established background in policy and stakeholder engagement, with an excellent understanding of how evidence informs policymaking in different contexts. 
  • Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with policy stakeholders at regional, national and/or international levels.
  • The confidence and experience to engage with senior leaders, policymakers and practitioners
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • A collaborative, team-focused approach with the ability to lead projects from conception to delivery. 

Further information

This position is offered on a part-time, permanent basis (0.6 fte).

The role may involve occasional travel in the UK and overseas to represent the University at conferences and policy events.
